Welcome to the official website for Entwined Agony and Peace.
The writing of Entwined Agony and Peace was not a project that I chose to do but rather was compelled to do by some influence outside of myself. It is one hundred percent true based on my recollection of the events at the time of the writing.
It is hard to believe that this short book, which could be read in one or two sessions, took six years to complete. I feel that the reason for the delay was not so much because it required me to relive the horrific details many times, but it demanded that I carry out the seemingly impossible task of communicating what it was like to experience agony and peace simultaneously, as if some invisible force entwined them.
I never imagined myself writing anything because my self-perception was that I did not have a creative bone in my body and never made more than a C in English composition. However, I found that while going about my daily activities, without a plan to do so, I would encounter someone to whom I was driven to tell my story. Perhaps because I am a speech therapist I found speaking a natural avenue to relate this experience. Each time I related the story I was filled with this immense energy and enthusiasm, which I could not tame. After having related the story to close to one hundred individuals I finally decided to take on the challenge of creating Entwined Agony and Peace.
I felt I was given this life experience for a reason and through the prompting of many people, began to understand I had a responsibility to share it.
Initially the story appears to be a tragedy about death, but I can assure you that nothing can be further from the truth. This story is about life, hope, faith and love.
